Objectives
To promote citizen participation by providing access to all parliamentary debates in multimedia formats.
Action plan / Activities
- Build an integrated computer system to access all types of parliamentary activity. - To generate ways and means to make efficient use databases in the storage and retrieval of e-Democracy issues, documents, and debates. - To organize, finance, and manage a Parliament-based public campaign to reach out and engage citizen organizations.
Follow-up indicators
-Those indicators that measure traffic through a Parliament´s web site over time and in relation to parliamentary activity, e.g., proposed events, debates, decisions made, speaking events, other. -Those indicators that measure number of subscriptions to a Parliament´s web site over time.
Resources and budget
There?s no specific budget related to ZABALIK program. The total budget for Maintenance and Improvement of the information system of the Basque Parliament, including e-Democracy activities, is 1.800.000? (8% of Parliament Budget) per year.
